Grand Prix Germany 2026 – Wichtige Informationen zum Wettkampfablauf und zur Anreise

Der Deutsche Ringer-Bund informiert alle Ehrengäste, teilnehmenden Nationen, Athleten, Trainer, Kampfrichter, Offiziellen sowie Besucher über wichtige organisatorische Änderungen und Hinweise zum Grand Prix Germany 2026 in Dortmund.
A) Änderung des Wettkampfprogramms
Der Grand Prix Germany wird ausschließlich am Samstag, den 15. August 2026, durchgeführt. Der ursprünglich vorgesehene zweite Wettkampftag entfällt.
Wettkampfbeginn ist um 10:30 Uhr und wird bis voraussichtlich 18:00 Uhr durchgerungen. Das Wettkampfprogramm umfasst:
  • Qualifikationskämpfe
  • Hoffnungsrunden
  • Finalkämpfe
  • Siegerehrungen
B) Wichtige Hinweise zur Anreise und Parksituation
Straßensperrungen
Am Samstag, den 15. August 2026, wird die Strobelallee ab 13:30 Uhr für den einfahrenden Verkehr aus beiden Fahrtrichtungen gesperrt. Auch auf den umliegenden Straßen (u. a. Ardeystraße, B1 und B54) ist mit Verkehrseinschränkungen zu rechnen.
Eine Zufahrt zur Strobelallee nach 13:30 Uhr nicht mehr möglich. Die Sperrungen werden voraussichtlich gegen 21:30 Uhr wieder aufgehoben. Das Verlassen des Veranstaltungsbereichs ist grundsätzlich möglich, kann jedoch abhängig von der Verkehrslage zu Verzögerungen führen.
Sicherheitszone
Der Bereich rund um das Stadion ist als Sicherheitszone ausgewiesen. Dort gelten besondere Verkehrsregelungen und ein absolutes Halteverbot. Widerrechtlich abgestellte Fahrzeuge werden konsequent abgeschleppt. Besondere Vorsicht ist in den Bereichen Strobelallee, Turnweg, Schwimmweg, Bolmker Weg sowie Am Sonnenblick geboten. Für den Bolmker Weg und den Schwimmweg gilt zusätzlich ein Durchfahrtsverbot. Fahrzeuge, die dort abgestellt werden, können den Bereich vor Aufhebung der Straßensperrungen gegen 21:30 Uhr nicht mehr verlassen.
Parkmöglichkeiten
Das Parken im unmittelbaren Veranstaltungsgelände ist nicht möglich. Busparkplätze (Bereich C1) können direkt per E-Mail bei parken@dopark.de angefragt werden. Bitte nutzen Sie hierfür nicht den regulären Onlineshop.
Empfehlung
Wir bitten alle Ehrengäste, Delegationen und Besucher, ihre Anreise frühzeitig zu planen, den geänderten Veranstaltungsablauf zu berücksichtigen und ausreichend Zeit für die Anfahrt einzuplanen.
Fußweg zwischen Hotel und Wettkampfstätte
Für alle Athleten, Trainer, Kampfrichter sowie Delegationen ist die Helmut-Körnig-Halle vom offiziellen Veranstaltungshotel bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Fußweg dauert nur wenige Minuten und ist die einfachste und schnellste Verbindung zwischen dem Hotel und der Wettkampfhalle.

Important Information – Grand Prix Germany 2026
The German Wrestling Federation (Deutscher Ringer-Bund) would like to inform all honorary guests, participating nations, athletes, coaches, referees, officials, and visitors about important organizational updates and information regarding the Grand Prix Germany 2026 in Dortmund.
A) Change to the Competition Schedule
The Grand Prix Germany will be held exclusively on Saturday, 15 August 2026. The originally scheduled second competition day has been cancelled.
The competition will begin at 10:30 a.m. and is expected to conclude at approximately 6:00 p.m.
The competition schedule includes:
  • Qualification Rounds
  • Repechage Rounds
  • Finals
  • Medal Ceremonies
B) Important Travel and Parking Information
Road Closures
On Saturday, 15 August 2026, Strobelallee will be closed to inbound traffic from both directions starting at 1:30 p.m. Traffic restrictions are also expected on the surrounding roads, including Ardeystraße, B1, and B54.
Access to Strobelallee will no longer be possible after 1:30 p.m. The road closures are expected to remain in effect until approximately 9:30 p.m.
Leaving the event area will generally remain possible, although delays may occur depending on the traffic situation.
Security Zone
The area surrounding the stadium has been designated as a security zone. Special traffic regulations apply, including a strict no-parking and no-stopping policy. Vehicles parked in violation of these regulations will be towed away without exception.
Please pay particular attention in the following areas:
  • Strobelallee
  • Turnweg
  • Schwimmweg
  • Bolmker Weg
  • Am Sonnenblick
In addition, Bolmker Weg and Schwimmweg are subject to a traffic restriction. Vehicles parked in these areas will not be able to leave before the road closures are lifted at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Parking
Parking within the immediate event area is not available.
Bus parking spaces (Area C1) can be requested directly by e-mail at parken@dopark.de. Please do not use the regular online booking system for these requests.
Recommendation
We kindly ask all honorary guests, delegations, and visitors to plan their journey well in advance, take the updated competition schedule into account, and allow sufficient travel time due to the expected traffic restrictions.
Walking Distance Between the Official Hotel and the Venue
The Helmut-Körnig-Halle is within easy walking distance of the official event hotel, Dorint An den Westfalenhallen, for all athletes, coaches, referees, and delegations.
The walk takes only a few minutes and is the easiest and fastest way to travel between the hotel and the competition venue.
